Search “apartment for rent Ekkamai” and you will find plenty of flats; working out how far each one really is from the train is harder. We let nine furnished homes by the month within reach of BTS Ekkamai, from ฿61,700 to ฿153,700, and the walk to the station is what separates them most. Seven are filed under Ekkamai on our site. Two more sit on Sukhumvit 42, closer to the station than any of the seven.
This guide sorts all nine by that walk: 450 metres, 550 metres, and 750 metres to BTS Phra Khanong, one stop further east. The minimum stay is one calendar month and there are no platform or booking fees, so the price shown is the monthly rent.
The distances below are the ones on each listing, measured to the nearest station. Treat them as a guide to the walk rather than a promise: the pet-friendly building's own description puts BTS Ekkamai nearer 700 metres than 550.

Three things stand out. The shortest walk is also one of the cheapest rents: a one-bedroom on Sukhumvit 42 at ฿65,500. The longest walk buys the most space, with the four QS flats running from 49 m² to 140 m². And the middle walk is the only one of the three that takes animals.
Sukhumvit 42 runs off the even-numbered side of Sukhumvit Road, and both flats are in the same high-rise, 450 metres from BTS Ekkamai. That is about six minutes on foot. Our site files them under Sukhumvit rather than Ekkamai, so they do not show up when you filter by Ekkamai, but no home we let is closer to this station.
The one-bedroom at ฿65,500 is 35 m², with a king-size bed behind a privacy wall, soundproofed windows, an in-room washer, a kitchenette with a stove and a 55-inch smart TV. The two-bedroom at ฿84,000 is 53 m² and sleeps four, with a king bed, a queen bed, one bathroom and a dedicated work space. Housekeeping comes three times a week and the linen is changed twice. The building has a sky pool, a fitness centre and a co-working space. Neither listing says whether electricity is included, so ask us before you book.
The three homes in this five-star Ekkamai building are the only ones on this page listed as pet-friendly. The studio is 46 m² at ฿91,800, the one-bedroom adds a private balcony at ฿107,700, and the two-bedroom is 89 m² with two bathrooms and a balcony at ฿153,700. Electricity and water are included in the rent, housekeeping comes three times a week, and the building has a pool, a gym, a lift and free parking.
The walk is listed at 550 metres, about seven minutes, though the building's own description says 700, so allow ten. With a dog, the building rules matter more than the walk: tell us the animal's size and how many are coming before you book.
The closer you live to BTS Ekkamai, the less floor you get for each baht. The QS building turns that round, if a ten-minute walk to the next station is fine.
The QS building is filed under Ekkamai, but its nearest station is Phra Khanong, one stop east of Ekkamai and 750 metres away. That is about ten minutes on foot, and it feels longer in the April heat. In exchange you get the most space on this page for the money. The studio deluxe is the cheapest home on the list, ฿61,700 for 49 m², or about ฿1,259 a square metre against about ฿1,871 for the one-bedroom on Sukhumvit 42.
Water is included, and each flat comes with a monthly electricity allowance. Anything you use above it is yours to pay:
The building has a saltwater pool, a fitness centre, a sauna, a children's play room, a business centre and private parking. Note that the 94 m² two-bedroom costs the same as the 80 m² one-bedroom, so if a second bedroom or bathroom is of any use to you, it is the better buy.
All nine homes are on the BTS Sukhumvit Line, so the walk is only the first leg of the day. Counting from Ekkamai:
From the QS building, add one stop to each journey into town. Fares, first and last trains and the line map are on the BTS website, and the Blue Line's stations and timetable are on the MRT operator's site. The Eastern Bus Terminal is next to BTS Ekkamai, which helps if you plan weekends on the coast. If you are weighing Ekkamai against the stations further in, our Sukhumvit homes sorted by station lays them out the same way.
To see the seven homes filed under Ekkamai, open the Ekkamai listings; the two Sukhumvit 42 flats are listed under Sukhumvit. Send us your dates, how many people are coming and whether an animal is coming too. The minimum stay is one calendar month, and nothing is added to the monthly rent for booking.
If you came to Ekkamai looking for a house rather than a flat, our Ekkamai 22 guide covers which of these homes come closest to one, for room, a pet, a car or children.
Our two flats on Sukhumvit 42, both 450 metres from BTS Ekkamai: a 35 m² one-bedroom at ฿65,500 a month and a 53 m² two-bedroom at ฿84,000.
The QS studio deluxe, 49 m², at ฿61,700 a month. It is 750 metres from BTS Phra Khanong, water is included and it comes with a ฿4,550 monthly electricity allowance.
In the three pet-friendly homes, yes, along with water. The four QS flats include water and an electricity allowance of ฿4,550 to ฿11,200 a month. For the two Sukhumvit 42 flats, ask us before you book.
Three stops on the Sukhumvit Line. At Asok you can change to the MRT Blue Line at Sukhumvit station. From Phra Khanong it is four stops.
