Search short term condo rental Bangkok Sukhumvit and the useful answer is a list, not a single price. We let 30 furnished homes on Sukhumvit by the calendar month, from ฿52,900 for 35 m² on Sukhumvit 71 to ฿365,400 for 213 m² near BTS Nana. The shortest stay is one month, and there are no platform or booking fees. On a stay of one to three months, what shapes your days most is how far you walk to the train, so this guide sorts all 30 homes by the station nearest to each.
If you have not settled on Sukhumvit yet, our guide to a short term rental in Bangkok for 1 month, by area compares it with the other neighbourhoods we cover. This one assumes Sukhumvit is decided and asks a narrower question: which end of it?
The BTS Sukhumvit line runs above Sukhumvit Road, and our homes fall into eight groups along it. One group is nearer the MRT Blue Line than the BTS, and one, on Soi 71, has no station given on its listings.
| Area | From | Character | Nearest station |
|---|---|---|---|
| BTS Nana, 5 homes | ฿151,200 | 69 to 213 m², one to three bedrooms | BTS Nana 500 m, MRT Sukhumvit 800 m |
| MRT Queen Sirikit, 4 homes | ฿69,300 | King-bed serviced unit up to a 128 m² 3 BR | MRT Queen Sirikit 150 m |
| BTS Phrom Phong, Sukhumvit 20, 3 homes | ฿98,300 | 40 to 85 m², one and two bedrooms | BTS Phrom Phong 300 m |
| BTS Phrom Phong, 850 to 950 m, 5 homes | ฿108,400 | 45 to 117 m², two with breakfast | BTS Phrom Phong 850-950 m |
| BTS Phrom Phong, 1.1 km, 4 homes | ฿100,800 | Serviced studio up to a 2 BR on Sukhumvit 39 | BTS Phrom Phong 1.1 km |
| BTS Ekkamai, Sukhumvit 42, 2 homes | ฿65,500 | One 1 BR, one 2 BR | BTS Ekkamai 450 m |
| BTS On Nut, Sukhumvit 48, 3 homes | ฿56,700 | Two serviced duplexes and a 2 BR | BTS On Nut 600 m |
| Sukhumvit 71, 4 homes | ฿52,900 | 35 to 75 m², the cheapest on the list | Not listed |
The pattern is simple: the further east, the lower the starting rent. The exception is the group by MRT Queen Sirikit, which starts at ฿69,300 and is also the shortest walk to a station of any home on our Sukhumvit list.
Our five homes near Nana are all 500 metres from BTS Nana and 800 metres from MRT Sukhumvit. They are large flats: the smallest is a 69 m² one-bedroom at ฿151,200, and the others run from a 105 m² one-bedroom at ฿163,800 to a 213 m² three-bedroom at ฿365,400. Nana is one stop from Asok, where the BTS meets the MRT, so both lines are close at hand for a short stay.
The four homes 150 metres from MRT Queen Sirikit are the closest to a station anywhere on our Sukhumvit list. They start with a serviced unit with a king bed at ฿69,300, then a serviced two-bedroom at ฿81,900, another serviced two-bedroom at ฿119,700 and a 128 m² three-bedroom at ฿252,000. Queen Sirikit is one stop from MRT Sukhumvit, so Asok is one stop and a change of line away. For a short stay apartment on Sukhumvit near a station, this is where we would look first on a budget.
Twelve of our 30 Sukhumvit homes are nearest BTS Phrom Phong, two stops east of Nana. They split cleanly by how far you walk:
For a short stay, start with the 300-metre group. The 40 m² one-bedroom on Sukhumvit 20 is ฿98,300, the only Phrom Phong home we have under ฿100,000, and it is a few minutes on foot from the platform. If breakfast in the building matters more to you than the walk, the two Sukhumvit 24 homes that include it are 850 metres out.
On a one-month stay you have no time to learn the bus routes or the back sois. Choose the walk to the station first, and the flat second.
On Sukhumvit 42 there are two homes, 450 metres from BTS Ekkamai: a one-bedroom at ฿65,500 and a two-bedroom at ฿84,000. That two-bedroom costs less than every one-bedroom we have near Phrom Phong or Nana. Ekkamai is three stops from Asok.
On Sukhumvit 48, 600 metres from BTS On Nut, there are two serviced duplexes at ฿56,700 each and a two-bedroom at ฿99,700. The duplexes are the same rent, but one is 35 m² and the other is a 45 m² one-bedroom, so the larger one is ten square metres for nothing. They are the cheapest serviced condos on our Sukhumvit list by the month. On Nut is five stops from Asok, which matters if you will ride in every day and matters little if you work from the flat.
Sukhumvit 71 has four homes: a 35 m² and a 40 m² flat at ฿52,900 each, the cheapest on our Sukhumvit list, a 50 m² one-bedroom at ฿70,600 and a 75 m² two-bedroom at ฿105,800. No station is given on these listings, so check the route to the nearest one on a map before you book. On a short stay you do not want to find out on the first morning.
Rent is charged per calendar month, so a 1 month condo rental on Sukhumvit costs one month's rent, and three months cost three, with no booking fee on top. Here is what that comes to for three homes that suit a short stay, one at each price level.
| Home | From | Character | Nearest station |
|---|---|---|---|
| Serviced 1 BR duplex, 45 m², Sukhumvit 48 | ฿56,700 | 2 months ฿113,400, 3 months ฿170,100 | BTS On Nut 600 m |
| Serviced king-bed unit, Sukhumvit | ฿69,300 | 2 months ฿138,600, 3 months ฿207,900 | MRT Queen Sirikit 150 m |
| 1 BR, 40 m², Sukhumvit 20 | ฿98,300 | 2 months ฿196,600, 3 months ฿294,900 | BTS Phrom Phong 300 m |
Read each listing for what the rent covers before you compare totals. Some homes are serviced, two include breakfast and others are simply furnished, and a serviced flat and a plainly furnished one at the same rent are not the same deal.
For the train, the BTS Skytrain website and the MRT website show the lines and stations, so you can count the stops from each home to your work. For how long you may stay in the country, check with the Thai Immigration Bureau before you decide on the number of months.
