If you searched for a “condo for rent the waterford rama 4”, start with this: our listings do not name their building, so we cannot promise you a flat in The Waterford. What we can show you is six furnished homes listed at one address on Rama IV Road, 900 m from BTS Phra Khanong, let by the month from ฿46,600.
They run from a 34 m² studio to a 180 m² three-bedroom, and they share the same pool, gym, lift and free parking. If the building itself matters to you, ask us for its name before you book. The minimum stay is one calendar month and there are no platform or booking fees, so the monthly price below is the rent.
All six homes sit at the same spot on Rama IV Road, at its eastern end near Phra Khanong. The listings put BTS Phra Khanong 900 metres away, and the two larger flats describe themselves as a few minutes from both Phra Khanong and Ekkamai stations. Because they share a building, the facilities are the same whichever size you take.
That makes it easier to choose than most areas. You are not weighing one building's pool against another's walk to the station; you are only choosing how much room you need, and what you are willing to pay for it.
| Home | From | Character | Nearest station |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio, 34 m², 2 guests | ฿46,600 | Housekeeping six times a week; electricity and water included | BTS Phra Khanong 900 m |
| 1 BR, 70 m², 2 guests | ฿65,500 | Bathtub, city views; electricity and water included | BTS Phra Khanong 900 m |
| 1 BR, 70 m², 2 guests | ฿68,000 | Same size and layout; electricity and water included | BTS Phra Khanong 900 m |
| 1 BR with jacuzzi, 70 m², 2 guests | ฿75,600 | Private jacuzzi in the bathroom; electricity and water included | BTS Phra Khanong 900 m |
| 2 BR, 2 bathrooms, 120 m², 4 guests | ฿107,100 | Housekeeping; ask whether utilities are included | BTS Phra Khanong 900 m |
| 3 BR, 3 bathrooms, 180 m², 6 guests | ฿151,200 | Serviced; ask whether utilities are included | BTS Phra Khanong 900 m |
Read the table per square metre and a pattern appears. The studio works out at about ฿1,371 a square metre. The three one-bedrooms come to between ฿936 and ฿1,080. The two-bedroom is about ฿893 and the three-bedroom ฿840. On Rama IV, the bigger the flat, the less each square metre costs you, so if two people can share the larger home, they get the cheapest space in the building.
The three one-bedrooms are all 70 m², with a separate bedroom, an open-plan living and dining area, a full kitchen and large windows looking over the city. The 70 m² one-bedroom at ฿65,500 is the cheapest of the three, and its bathroom has a bathtub. The second, at ฿68,000, is the same size in the same modern finish, with wood and warm earth tones.
The third costs ฿75,600, ฿10,100 a month more than the first. What the difference buys is a private jacuzzi in the bathroom. Over a six-month stay that is ฿60,600, so it is worth deciding honestly how often you would use it. If the answer is most evenings, it is the one to take; if not, the cheaper flat gives you the same floor space.
On Rama IV, ฿65,500 a month buys a 70 m² one-bedroom. Near BTS Phloen Chit, ฿86,900 buys one of 39 m².
That comparison is the case for this end of Rama IV. You give up a short walk to a central station, and in return you get close to twice the room for less money.
For the studio and the three one-bedrooms, the listings are clear. Housekeeping comes six times a week, the linen is changed twice a week, and electricity and water are included in the rent with no hidden fees. The figure in the table is the whole monthly bill.
The two larger homes are listed as housekeeping and serviced, but their descriptions do not spell out the cleaning schedule or the utilities. A 120 m² or 180 m² flat with the air conditioning running in every bedroom in April uses far more electricity than a studio, so this matters. Bangkok's household tariff is published by the Metropolitan Electricity Authority. Before you book either of the larger flats, ask us:
BTS Phra Khanong is on the Sukhumvit Line, 900 metres from the building, which is about a twelve-minute walk at an easy pace. In the midday heat many people take a motorbike taxi or a car for that stretch instead. From Phra Khanong, Ekkamai is one stop west, Thong Lo two and Asok four, where you can change to the MRT Blue Line at Sukhumvit station. Fares, first and last trains and the line map are on the BTS website.
On Nut is one stop east, with its markets and cheaper street food. If you want to compare this building with the homes around that station, read our guide to On Nut and the stations either side.
For two people sharing, the 120 m² two-bedroom comes to ฿53,550 each a month, less than either person would pay for a one-bedroom here, and each gets a bathroom.
If you need that building by name, for a friend nearby, a past stay or a recommendation, ask us which building these six homes are in before you book, and decide from the answer. If Rama IV is the point rather than one tower, these six are what we let there. If you are still choosing the district, our guide to where foreigners live in Bangkok sets Rama 4 beside Thonglor, Sathon and the rest.
Otherwise, see all six Rama 4 homes, pick the size that fits, and send us your dates and how many people are coming. The minimum stay is one calendar month, and there are no platform or booking fees on top of the rent.
